The first nominee for Goal of the Week is the Red Bull’s Thierry Henry for his first goal of the season (an impressive diving header) against the Colorado Rapids. Second is Kyle Beckerman of Real Salt Lake with a well placed goal from well outside the box against the San Jose Earthquakes. Jermain Defoe of Toronto is third with his first MLS goal against the Seattle Sounders. In that same game, Clint Dempsey scored an impressive goal for the Sounders. Victor Bernardez put one in for the San Jose Earthquakes after a scramble inside the box. My vote is for either Beckerman or Dempsey. Vote here.
