USMNT Rivalry With Mexico Continues & USWNT Crushes Russia

USMNT-Bradley-vs-MexicoThe USMNT will continue their ongoing rivalry with Mexico on April 2nd at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This is their first meeting since the “Dos a cero” victory of the US team on September 10th of last year, which qualified them for their spot in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. This matchup will definitely get US fans pumped up for the tough schedule they face in the World Cup.

The USWNT recently showed their sweet side for Valentine’s Day, but didn’t save any love for Russia in their friendly last night. The women’s team racked up the goals once again with an 8-0 victory in Atlanta over the Winter Olympic host country. The goal scoring began unconventionally with Russia netting two own goals in the first half. Amy Rodriguez, Abby Wambach, Megan Rapinoe, Lauren Holiday, Heather O’Reilly and Christen Press each put in goals in the second half. The USWNT extended their home unbeaten streak to an impressive 80 games (70-0-10) and an overall unbeaten streak of 42 games (36-0-6).Wambach-ARod-2-13-2014-ISI-600x396
